Progressions for Twisting

There are a number of methods to teaching twists.

Here is another series of progressions:

Thank the Creator for the mute button.

And one more:

The easiest, quickest, and simplest technique I've ever experienced in teaching back twisting is Wade's recommendation:  Set, pull the arms down and pin them over one thigh.  You don't even have to drop one arm ahead of the other or pull it off to the side first.

At the Expense of Parents and Their Susies....

The following video by Jason Mortimer went viral within the gymnastics community (especially amongst coaches) when it was made a few years ago.

Xtra Normal is a free site that uses text-to-speech technology to allow its users to create cartoon videos.

Coaches cringe at having to deal with the occasional armchair quarterback coaching-from-the-sidelines-gym parent.  A Susie parent.

Of course, coaches can also be a royal pain in the rump themselves; and I'm still waiting for an Xtra Normal video put out from the parent's perspective, satirizing their interactions with difficult coaches.

Gymnastics Coaching.com posted one this morning made on judges.  I can see one being made also by a judge about parents and coaches; and one from parents and coaches about judges.

When Jason's video started making its rounds on the internet, it inspired others to create more Susie videos.  (Morgan should be happy to know they have some on cheer!).

Examples:
When will Tiffany start fulls?
Level 5 Gymnastics Bar Routine Perfect 10 Score?

God forbid should any gymnast decide to create one, mocking their coaches....
