Creating Rotation for Layouts
Gymnastike:
another great drill from 2008 Olympic Coach Marvin Sharp. Marvin explains a tramp drill that he says is his favorite drill in his gym. This tramp drill helps the gymnast to create rotation in a layout on floor or off the vault table. The drill helps to isolate the arms and head and makes the gymnast tuck their hips under to create the rotation.

Last Week's WOW
I've mentioned it before: Eddie Umphrey and his friend Justin Laury are amazing coaches. They are young, and up-and-coming. Last week's Gymnastike Workout Wednesday has a sneak peak into Laury's Splitz gym:
In this week's WOW, we get to experience a workout with up-and-coming coach Justin Laury from Splitz Gymnastics in Michigan. This is a summer morning training session with optional level gymnasts and Junior International Elite Vanasia Bradley. Watch as coach Laury takes them through warmup, uneven bars basics and new skills, trains vault at a special station on the tumbltrak, and transitions into a new cardio workout.
