The Perfect Switch Side: What the Judge Wants to See
Technique Tuesday (2009):
At the Region 3 Elite Clinic held right after the Region 3 Elite Qualifier, gymnasts and coaches had the opportunity to work with the judges in a training camp setting.
Beam Judge Carole Bunge shows an athlete why she failed to receive credit for her switch side leap, and breaks down what she wants to see in order to give full credit for a switch side.

OMG and LOL
Imagine having your photo taken with McKayla Maroney unimpressed on one side of you; and Cheryl Hamilton with her "OMG" mouth drop on the other.
Someone should have started a Cheryl Hamilton meme to compliment the McKayla unimpressed one.

At the Expense of Parents and Their Susies....
The following video by Jason Mortimer went viral within the gymnastics community (especially amongst coaches) when it was made a few years ago.
Xtra Normal is a free site that uses text-to-speech technology to allow its users to create cartoon videos.
Coaches cringe at having to deal with the occasional armchair quarterback coaching-from-the-sidelines-gym parent. A Susie parent.
Of course, coaches can also be a royal pain in the rump themselves; and I'm still waiting for an Xtra Normal video put out from the parent's perspective, satirizing their interactions with difficult coaches.
Gymnastics Coaching.com posted one this morning made on judges. I can see one being made also by a judge about parents and coaches; and one from parents and coaches about judges.
When Jason's video started making its rounds on the internet, it inspired others to create more Susie videos. (Morgan should be happy to know they have some on cheer!).

Level 5 Gymnastics Bar Routine Perfect 10 Score?
God forbid should any gymnast decide to create one, mocking their coaches....
